Amigo Tico Community Involvement

"Amigo Tico" means Costa Rican friend. The fun-loving staff at Amigo Tico have generated countless friendships over the last decade, both within Costa Rica and the world over.

Sports and Jobs

Amigo Tico has been active in the local community since their early days, first by sponsoring a local surfing team, then a mountain bike team, and now a full soccer team. The company also sponsors individual athletes, donates time and money for local causes, and continues to provide training and jobs for local workers.

As more and more foreigners discover the area, much has changed. Fortunately, Quepos has managed to retain the simple charm of a seaside village. The local economy is evolving from primarily fishing and agriculture to sustainable tourism, thanks in part to the efforts of responsible companies like Amigo Tico.
